Love that you have the pic of the Red Sox! You get extra points in my book (being I’m a girl from Boston, although living in LA, I root for the Dodgers). Either way, I’m excited about baseball! Woohoo!

Is it clicheto say, “NO WAY, I’m an Andre Either Fan” ? I really am an Either “lover” and I’m also a big fan of Casey Blake (a solid player). But Manny? Well, I think he’d go wherever the wind blows and it’s all about HIM. I know it’s like that nowadays in all sports, but I crave the days when the TEAM mattered. And honestly, I was too young to really remember the good ‘ole days but I used to go to the Boston Garden to watch (or be babysat actually) the Celtics and I remember a different kind of “TEAM” thing happening. McCale, Bird, Chief…and then the Lakers, Magic, Kareem (I think? it’s all kinda vague)..but it wasn’t about the individual. I know I’ve gone off topic from baseball to basketball, but Manny seems to embody that individual stance — free agent kinda thing…. so, no, I’m not a Manny fan, though I don’t dismiss his talent at all…..

You’re so right. I was glad to we traded Manny for Bay, just to get rid of the “it’s all about me” slugger.
It should be all about the team.
Ah, the Celts back then were the epitome of team-first. The Garnett age is pretty similar too, I think.
